Captain Barbossa leads a crew of pirates aboard The Black Pearl to world's end in order to rescue Jack Sparrow. The English fleet is steadily gaining on the capture of pirates, and things must be done to stop them. But with The Flying Dutchman at the English side, can Jack and his handful of crew survive?
(Err. Yes, that is a very cheesy summary. :P)
I liked At World's End very much. It's quite interesting and it satisfied my movie-going self. Of course, there's Johnny Depp as the rum-loving Jack Sparrow. His performance is as good as ever. Sometimes it's hard to tell what Depp really looks like from all the odd characters he's played... :D

Movie Review - The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus
Rating: 8/10The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus is about an immortal man who had a contract with the Devil (played by Tom Waits) in order to woo the woman he loved. In exchange for his youth, Dr. Parnassus (Christopher Plummer) must give the Devil any child he fathered as soon as he/she turned sixteen; in this case, his only daughter Valentina (Lily Cole). The doctor is greatly troubled so he devises a plan to bring a certain number of people into his Imaginarium (a place where a person's imagination and dreams are made tangible) so that he would not have to give up Valentina. In order to do this, he sets up a travelling show (reminds me of Howl's Moving Castle) with his companions, Percy (Verne Troyer), Anton (Andrew Garfield), and his daughter. However, the show is not successful and does not draw crowds, only ridicule. This is where the character of the late Heath Ledger, Tony, comes in. He persuades people to watch the show with his smooth words.
So the movie is pretty nice and exciting. I liked how Ledger's friends continued the role for him (Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell). Imaginarium Tony 1, played by Johnny Depp, reminds me of Captain Jack Sparrow... Oh well. There's lots of interesting things involved, especially the Imaginarium. It's really a nice movie. :)

Movie Review - Alice in Wonderland
Rating: 8/10So Tim Burton really did a nice turn for this classic by adding special effects and all that shizz he's known for, but still, something is desperately missing in this movie. The characters are nice, funny, and insanely weird, just the kind that you'll expect from the famed director. But, story-wise? I think he and his crew infused so much creativity into the characters that it was all used up by the time they thought of the plot. The story is predictable, cliche, easily forgettable, and whatever you might call it. It just isn't Tim Burton-y... For me, at least.
I've got some good to say about the movie (don't worry). The actors were awesome! Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter did their roles justice. Mia Wasikowska proved herself to be a great actress, and so did Anne Hathaway (yet again). The CGI animation was done pretty well. Wonderland looks great with the Tim Burton touch. I especially liked the March Hare; he's so crazy and his laugh is so funny! Also, the Cheshire Cat was adorable. I love him! He's as adorable as the [fat] puss-in-boots. The Jabberwocky and Bandersnatch were great creations. I'm glad that Johnny Depp recited "Jabberwocky" in the movie because you could say the lines along with him. :D
(Well, it's my first time watching a movie in 3D and all I can say is that it's awesome, except for the screen because it's sort of bitin... But it was nice all the same.)
