Black Swan is the story of a young ballerina named Nina (Natalie Portman) who was cast as the Swan Queen in the company's version of Swan Lake. However, the presence of a prodigy (Mila Kunis) threatens Nina, knowing that the newcomer could very well take the role from her.
I admire everything about this movie. Darren Aronofsky is a genius. The score, setting, and even the shots are great. Add Natalie Portman's stellar and convincing performance and you've got a brilliant mix. Black Swan definitely deserves an Academy Award.
