This French novel is simply fantastic. The words strung majestically by Monsieur LeRoux exudes all the feelings meant to be shown. The dialogues are very beautiful. The whole of the book is written in simple prose, making it easy to understand. You'll almost never need a dictionary, if your vocabulary is quite wide. Also, the reader will find it easy to delve into the roller-coaster love story of Vicomte Raoul de Chagny and Christine Daae, and the sorrows of Erik, the Opera Ghost.
This is really a must-read for any bookworm. :DLabels: book review, gaston leroux, phantom of the opera

Greetings, Sir/Madam.
I'm a creature (Homo sapiens, to be exact) of the female race living in the Philippines. My province is in Pampanga, but I study in the University of the Philippines in Diliman as a Journalism major. My human age is seventeen years but I've been around for quite some time. I have two human best friends and hundreds of imaginary best friends. I believe in God and I'm not ashamed of the fact that I'm a Born-again Christian. My dad is a pastor and my mom is a Science teacher and Grade 6 adviser overseas. I have two sisters; both of them are younger than me. The three of us share the same interests and all of us love our Mini Schnauzer, Ginger. We get along... Usually.
I have a fear of heights, deep water, octopuses, getting hurt, hot cooking oil, fire, snails, slugs, worms, worm-like creatures, getting caught while doing something sinister, horror and suspense movies, bats (so ugly), and my favorite anime characters being impaled (especially when their status is currently unknown).
I love the Bible, anime, reading nice books, photography, scrapbooking, chocolate, anything with cheese, combing my beautiful hair, riding a car with the window open on a nice day, rainy days when I'm inside, organizing my things, my Omoi-chan, drawing with pastels, writing stories, day dreaming, bottled water, siomai, Filipino foods, Choco Caramel-flavored Zagu with lots of chocolate chips, anything with potato, Kogepan, doughnuts, cookies, powdered milk, sticky champorado, blankets, pillows, cotton balls, stuffed toys, gothic stuff, castles, the Middle Ages, archaeology, Europe, Japan, astronomy, biology, fireplaces, flowers, cotton candy, leaves, fruit trees, clear bodies of water, drop of rain, cute erasers, magic pencils, Fractal brushes in GIMP, pancakes, any kind of dessert, dandelions in the air, a spider on a web, antique furniture, grandfather clocks, figurines, the word "serenity", clean bathrooms, wide flower gardens, farms, dresses, butterflies, dragonflies (especially blue ones), cartoony pictures of the sun, Facebook, the Sims franchise, marshmallows, lemonade, sweet oranges, human babies, kittens, puppies, rabbits, notebooks, the colors yellow, purple, icy blue, and orange, sunny skies, lots of trees, exploring caves (with a guide), cold water, lighted windows at night, the moon, stars, pictures of New Zealand, weird lights in the sky at night, the planet Saturn, Greek mythology, mountains, watching people dance, theaters, a single red rose on a glass vase, fairy tales, things with ornate designs, tiny coffee cups, open windows with curtains that billow in the breeze, candy, pastry shops (the smell is lovely), open cans of paint, mornings, sunsets, milk, smoke from a hot cup of coffee, pianos, violins, autumn (though I've never seen it personally), perfumes, cartoony frogs, detective novels, CSI, shiny jewels, mud, dolls, cozy cottages, the beach, the idea of being Heaven, peaceful lakes, dew on leaves, stalks of grasses, and spider webs in the early morning, angels, our house in the province, my family and friends, my room at the dormitory, soot sprites, KHQ, highlighters, God, and lots more!
Seeing devastated people on the evening news (especially during Ondoy and Pepeng), funerals, intimidation, Filipino drama films, 1 Liter of Tears, departures, and God's love made me cry.
I don't like mosquitoes, omelettes, vegetables (especially onion and okra), pouring alcohol on a wound, nosy people, backstabbers, atheists, animal poo in the middle of the road, essay exams, arrogant people, any forms of abuse, obscene language, death, divorce (especially among celebrities), Rocko's Modern Life, very obese people, smoke from cars and factories, beer, cigarettes, dust (hence, cleaning), Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, swim suits, slimming teas, bright headlights, rainy days when I'm outside (with or without an umbrella), garbage, greed, Twilight, Edward Cullen, Bella Swan, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, most rock and punk bands, hip hop music, real frogs, homesickness, slime, wet towels, puddles you can't see, poems, whores, the "popular" crowd (especially girls), gangsters, fraternities, sororities, rough stones, seeing others hurt, bullies, ants when they're in my stuff, playing sports, bar soaps, thick books with small text, politics, extrajudicial killings, corruption, crime, nighttime, being stabbed or shot, the Devil, and probably a lot more...
Done? Enjoy reading the rest of my blog!
